Navi Mumbai, April 12 (IANS) Victorious in the last nine games, All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) Navi Mumbai Regional Academy will take on Greater Mumbai Police Saturday in their next friendly at the Fr. Agnel’s Ground here.
The police outfit is currently competing in the Super Division of the Mumbai Football League.
Regional Academy’s head coach Sajid Dar praised his boys saying they have shown a lot of character.
“We have won nine games in a row and the boys have shown a lot of character – especially to come back from behind in a couple of games. We need to remember that in such a developmental programme, results are not that important,” Sajid said.
“The inspiring part is that the boys have been playing against teams which are physically and mentally much stronger than us. All opponents are much superior outfits who have been competing and doing incredibly well in their Super and Elite Division matches in Mumbai.”
The match kicks-off at 4.30 p.m.
