New Delhi, April 29 (IANS) A 35-year-old-man was killed and five people, including two children, were injured after a speeding SUV hit a stationary truck and a motorcycle here, police said Monday.
The accident took place late Sunday night at Mehrauli in south Delhi.
“The Scorpio (sports utility vehicle), which was going towards Ghitorni village, first hit Sanjeev, who was crossing the road and then hit a parked motorcycle on which two children, aged 8 and 10 years, were sitting and then it rammed into a truck parked at the roadside,” said a police officer.
The driver of the Scorpio and his two friends in the SUV, and the two children were injured in the accident.
All the six were taken to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where doctors pronounced Sanjeev dead.
Scorpio’s driver Rajkumar has been arrested.
