Mumbai, April 13 (IANS) Hockey Maharashtra defeated Rajasthan 9-1 in the Hockey India Sub-Junior Men’s National Championship (West Zone) here at the Mahindra Stadium Saturday.
In Pool B, Chhattisgarh drew 2-2 against Hockey Bhopal while Gujarat beat Goa 2-1.
Results:
Pool A: Maharashtra 9 (Taleb Shah 1, Sarfaraz Shaikh 5, 62, Ajinkya Jadhav 7, Ajit Shinde 24, Pranav Mane 27, 48, Aquib Sayyed 31 and Aniket Gurav 61) beat Rajasthan 1 (Sumit Bhati 16).
Pool B: Chhattisgarh 2 (Suhail Khan 21, 37) drew Bhopal 2 (Mohammed Faheem 30 and Mohd Shariq 59).
Gujarat 2 (Murari Rajput 38, Ajay Thakur 48) beat Goa 1 (Francis Rodrigues 18).
