Jakarta, April 25 (IANS) English Premier League side Liverpool is scheduled to visit Indonesia in mid July this year to play a friendly match with Indonesian national football team, Liverpool senior officials said here Thursday.
The visit of the football club in Indonesia was part of its pre-season tour and all the core players will take part in, Liverpool officer Matthew Baxter and the club’s Ambassador Ian Rush said, Xinuha reports.
“Besides holding the friendly match we would also do several other activities during our visit here as we would also bring along the representatives of Liverpool FC Foundation,” Matthew told a press conference here.
Liverpool are scheduled to arrive in Indonesia July 16.
They will also visit in Thailand and Australia during its far-east pre-season tour.
