New Delhi, April 13 (IANS) Bollywood beauties Lara Dutta, Chitrangada Singh and Yami Gautam added their spark and glamour at the India International Jewellery Week (IIJW). They walked the ramp here as showstoppers for different brands.
The actresses appeared at the event Friday evening.
Lara flaunted diamonds by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers, while Chitrangada walked wearing designs by Hazoorilal Jewellers, and Yami sported bespoke pieces by Nazraana.
Nazraana created a special set for its show, with two jewellery boxes hanging from the roof. The show for Nazraana started with a ballet performance, followed by models sashaying down the ramp, posing in glittering diamond jewellery.
Yami of “Vicky Donor” fame looked glamorous in a bold black gown with a red belt, and she wore diamonds on her neck, ears and wrist.
Asked about her favourite piece of jewellery, she said: “I am a big fan of solitaires. I love the collection by Nazraana, first of all because of its name, and then because they can be worn on any occasion. They are casual, yet stylish.”
Lara was seen in a royal show by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers. The former Miss Universe looked resplendent in a heavy neckpiece from the line, which was inspired by Jaipur’s famous Amer fort.
Lara said she enjoys walking the ramp at jewellery events.
In the following show, by Hazoorilal Jewellers, Chitrangada was seen in a traditional avatar thanks to a Charu Parashar creation – a heavily embroidered red lehenga with a black blouse. To match the look, she wore an elaborate piece in polki or uncut diamonds.
The line by Hazoorilal Jewellers was a combination of pearl drops, gold, kundan and coloured stones like ruby and emerald.
The models wore black gowns and sported very different hairstyles.
