New Delhi, April 18 (IANS) Huge stocks of electrical parts have been destroyed in a major fire at a warehouse in the capital. However, no one has been injured in the blaze, officials said Thursday.
The fire was reported from west Delhi’s Nangloi area around 10.30 p.m. Wednesday, and 20 fire tenders battled over three hours to control it, officials said.
“Around 20 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and it took them more than three hours to douse the blaze. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. However, lakhs of electrical parts were gutted in the fire,” a fire service official said.
Electrical short-circuit is suspected to have caused the blaze, the official added.
