New Delhi, April 16 (IANS) Subash Ghai, along with 150 artists and technicians, has moved to the Valley of Flowers in Uttarakhand to shoot “Kaanchi”.
“We are going to shoot here for 15 days. Forty percent done,” said Ghai, who is directing the love story. His last directorial venture was “Yuvvraaj”
Bengali actress Mishti plays the title role and the filmmaker is confident that the movie will be a visual treat
“Mishti is one of the most talented new heroines I have found. She is just fantastic. You have to see her performance in ‘Kaanchi’ to believe me. She is another superstar in the wings this year,” Ghai said.
Mishti was chosen out of over 500 girls who auditioned for the role.
The male lead in the film is Kartik Tiwari, last seen in “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” and “Akaash Vani”.
“Kaanchi” is said to be a dramatic journey of an 18-year-old girl from the mountains to a metro.
Ghai describes it’s an entertaining film with a “deep message”.
The movie is likely to release around August.
