Mumbai, April 19 (IANS) Actress Sridevi, who recently shot for a Tamil ad for jewellery brand Tanishq, admits she goes berserk upon seeing ornaments.
“Jewellery is my weakness. Whenever I see any jewellery, I am unable to control myself. My daughters or somebody has to cool me down,” the 49-year-old said here while shooting for the ad.
“I had called them (daughters) here also, but when I looked for them, they had left before I could demand anything,” added the actress, who seen as a simple housewife in her comeback movie “English Vinglish”.
The ad has been directed by “Egnlish Vinglish” director Gauri Shinde and the actress admits she surrenders to her like a newcomer.
“I totally surrender to Gauri and I am like a newcomer in front of her. Whatever she tells me, I do it obediently like a new actress,” said Sridevi, who is married to filmmaker Boney Kapoor.
In terms of films, after a successful comeback last year, she is taking things easy.
“I am listening to scripts but I am not in a hurry to do anything. It’s not like, ‘I have to do something’. If at all I do (a movie), definitely it should satisy me and I should be really confident to do that film,” Sridevi said.
If reports are to be believed, she is likely to be part of “Mr. India 2”, a sequel to 1987 hit sci-fi comedy “Mr. India”, in which she had shared the screen space with Anil Kapoor.
