Mumbai, April 16 (IANS) Indian nuclear plants in northern and western parts of the country were not affected by Tuesday evening’s earthquake which rocked Iran, an official here said.
The official of the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd here said no Indian nuclear plant situated in these parts of the country has been affected by the quake.
A major earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter scale struck Iran’s southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan Province, killing at least 40 people.
The tremors were also felt in several parts of northern and western India, including capital New Delhi.
