Mumbai, April 22 (IANS) Director Sonam Nair, who is debuting with “Gippi”, says her next will be a light-hearted movie and it may not have children in the cast.
Produced by Dharma Productions, “Gippi” revolves around a growing teenage girl.
“My next film will be a comedy for sure. It will be relatable, simple and fun. I want to stay in a similar zone, may be not kids again. I want to work with young newcomers. I want to like young relatable films,” Nair, who roped in Riya Vij to play the title role in her debut movie, told IANS.
Sonam is the first women director being launched by Dharma Productions.
“I am really happy that I am the first women, it’s an extra feather in my cap…the good thing is that Karan let me make the film, which is about a girl. It was his bravery and belief in the project.”
“Gippi” is slated for a May 10 release.
