Mumbai, April 22 (IANS) Actor Emraan Hashmi and singer Altaf Raja will shoot for a music video for the song “Jholuram” for “Ghanchakkar”.
It seems that director Rajkumar Gupta is not leaving any stones unturned to make it a full on masala movie. After having lead actress Vidya Balan shoot a quirky video for the comedy, now he has roped in “Tum to thehre pardesi” fame singer.
“Yes, we are shooting a very quirky music video that will feature both Emraan Hashmi and Altaf Raja. I mean what a combo to have for a video,” Gupta, who had earlier wielded the megaphone for serious dramas like “Aamir” and “No One Killed Jessica”.
“Altaf is singing the song ‘Jholuram’ for ‘Ghanchakkar’ that will be featured on Emraan. We are excited to have Altaf for the song as he is hugely popular and will add his elements into the video. Emraan is also playing a quirky character. It will be fun,” added the director.
The shooting will happen this week.
The story of the film, which revolves around a safe cracker, played by Emraan, is expected to take the viewers on a rollercoaster ride with Vidya’s character making it more interesting and entertaining.
“Ghanchakkar” is slated for a June 28 release.
