Beijing, April 30 (IANS) Eight villagers have been confirmed dead in China’s Guizhou province following a landslide Saturday, after the last body was retrieved Monday afternoon.
The landslide, which occurred in Mawo Village near Guizhou’s Bijie city, had trapped eight local villagers. It was triggered by the lingering rainfall in the region, Xinhua quoted local authorities as saying.
A total of 76 people have been relocated after the landslide.
