New Delhi, April 10 (IANS) Actress Divya Dutta, who plays the role of single mother in upcoming movie “Gippi”, says she drew inspiration from her own mother for the role.
The 35-year-old plays single mother to the lead actress in the movie.
“My role in ‘Gippi’ is that of single mother who’s more of a buddy to her daughter. She’s not a stereotypical mom, but crazy. Yet (she is) strong and emotional,” Divya said in a statement.
Divya lost her father when she was just seven.
“I did see a lot of my mom in my character. I lost my father when I was seven. My mom brought me and my brother up. She is a doctor and a government officer at work and a fun mom at home. We have done the craziest things together,” she added..
