New Delhi, April 25 (IANS) Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath Thursday said he is confident that members of the Joint Parliament Committee on the 2G spectrum allocation will display correct judgement irrespective of their party affiliation.
“I am confident that the members will exercise their correct judgement irrespective of their party affiliation,” Kamal Nath said, talking to reporters outside parliament.
Asked whether the JPC report prepared by chairman P.C. Chacko will be supported by members of Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, he said: “We will see that in the meeting.”
Earlier, in its draft report, the JPC on 2G had given a clean chit to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and then Finance Minister P. Chidambaram.
The meeting of the 30-member committee, probing 2G spectrum allocation, called to finalise its draft report Thursday was postponed after the death of a Trinamool Congress MP.
