New Delhi, April 17 (IANS) A Class 10 student was allegedly abducted by her three neighbours and gang-raped in a car in an isolated area in the capital early Wednesday, police said.
The minor girl was abducted from east Delhi’s New Ashok Nagar area while she was heading to her school. The trio pushed the victim out of the car onto the roadside after the gang-rape, and warned her not to report the attack.
The girl, in her statement, later told the police that one of the accused was standing outside the car when the other two were sexually assaulting her.
“A case regarding the incident has been registered and hunt is on to nab the accused,” a police officer said adding that a man has been detained in connection with the case.
The medical examination of the victim has confirmed rape.
