Sao Paulo, April 14 (IANS) Neymar scored all four goals as Santos defeated Uniao Barbarense 4-0 in Brazil’s Campeonato Paulista.
The stunning solo display Saturday came just hours after media reported that Neymar’s father and two agents were in Barcelona to negotiate the 21-year-old’s move to the Catalan club, reports Xinhua.
Neymar netted two goals in each half and had another goal ruled out for offside. He also struck the post late in the match as Santos moved to second in the Paulista standings, five points behind Sao Paulo.
“It’s a very satisfying feeling. It’s flattering that they (Barcelona) are talking about me. I’m the happiest man in the world. I can only thank them (for showing interest),” Neymar said.
It is the second time the Brazil striker has scored four goals in a match, the first coming in Santos’s 4-1 victory over Atletico Paranaense in October 2011.
