New Delhi, April 12 (IANS) Artist Aruna Tewari’s ‘Mesmerizing Reverberations of Love’ that opened here Friday is a collection of 20 artworks where the artist uses semi-realistic techniques to showcase her creations.

Using bold and bright colours, Aruna uses line formations as well as space divisions to elaborate perspective in her works.

Themed around women, the collection showcases feelings and their impact on the life of a woman, and uses bold strokes to bring out intense and focussed artworks. Portraying the journey of women from their childhood to the last stages of life, the exhibits portray the various expressions of love from a feministic perspective.

Attended by the art lovers and connoisseurs of the city, the opening evening saw Bollywood celebrities John Abraham, Sridevi and Bonny Kapoor, among others.

Talking of her experience, Tewari said: “It is an amazing feeling when your own art works are exhibited, and connoisseurs appreciate them. The emotional high that one derives on viewing the pieces of her own creativity on display is a different feeling alltogether.”

“All my creativity revolves around the latent emotions that a woman goes through, and are hence reflected in my art. Through my artworks I have tried to portray the feelings and emotions of a woman, and their impact on her life which builds up the person that she is.

While the bold strokes represent a woman’s resilience, the soft touches showcases her feminine side. As a woman I have been able to experience some forms of love so far and I have tried to put across such feelings in a multi-dimensional way in my works. I have also tried to accentuate the importance of geometrical perspective in my works wherein it has facilitated me in illustrating the internal feelings of lover as well as the surrounding circumstances or ambience”, Tiwari added.
