Vancouver, April 5 (IANS) After his award-winning performance in fun-filled “Vicky Donor”, Annu Kapoor is now planning to go behind the camera to direct a movie.
The actor, who won the National Award for best supporting actor for his role as fertility expert doctor Baldev Chaddha in “Vicky Donor”, is also known for his work in “Chameli Ki Shaadi”, “Mr. India”, and “Hum”.
“I am planning to get into direction soon,” said the 57-year-old on the sidelines of the first day of the maiden edition of Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) Thursday.
“I have been thinking about it for a very long time and the audience will get to see it soon. Though the chances of me acting in that film are less as I want to focus on one thing only,” he added.
Direction is not new to Annu, who directed several plays for stage and a feature film titled “Abhay”, starring Nana Patekar, Moon Sen, Benjamin Gilani for the Children’s Film Society.
