Mumbai, April 1 (IANS) Amitabh Bachchan along with wife Jaya attended an event to celebrate the success of “The Shiva Trilogy” and the megastar marvelled at author Amish Tripathi’s writing skills.
“I wish there are many more amongst you who will be inspired by this evening and indeed by Amish Tripathi to write, and reverse time almost, and come back to the age when a book was a lifelong possession,” Big B said Sunday.
“The Shiva Trilogy” comprises three books – “The Immortals of Meluha”, “The Secret of the Nagas” and “The Oath of the Vayuputras”.
“This is a wonderful example of how having a book in your hand is a lot more valuable then opening Google and reading a book,” said Big B.
Actress Kajol and filmmaker Shekhar Kapur also have given a thumbs up to the author.
Filmmaker Karan Johar has acquired the rights to adapt Tripathi’s “The Immortals of Meluha” into a movie.
