Shimla: For 2013-14, public sector power company SJVN has set a generation target of 6930 million units with an expected turnover Rs 1783 crore and a net profit of Rs 790 crore, a company spokesman stated here today.
In the next financial year, by August, the company targets plans to commission the 47.6 MW Khirvire Wind Power Project (55 MU), in Maharashtra and all the six units of upcoming 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Project between 15th Dec, 2013 to 5th March, 2014.
CMD of SJVN, RP Singh signed an agreement with secretary power union government about the deadlines the company and targets it had set for commissioning of the wind power and Rampur projects.
The Memorandum of Understanding includes targets for construction of the 588 MW Luhri and 51 MW Jhakhol Sankri HEP in Uttrakhand besides completion of the 412 MW Rampur HEP in Himachal Pradesh.
SJVN is already operating the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station, which happens to be the largest hydropower project in the country.
