Shimla: A businessman from Punjab was shot dead in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district Thursday, police said.
Vinod Jain had gone to his oil mill in Mehatpur industrial area, bordering Punjab, when three unidentified assailants shot at him from close range critically injuring him, Superintendent of Police Ravinder Sharma told.
The incident occurred outside his factory. His staff rushed Jain to the hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
“We are investigating the incident,” Sharma said.
Jain also had three oil mills in Phillaur town in Punjab.
