Sure enough, strict punishment should be handed out to the mischievous sprites, involved in the rape of a 23 year old girl in a moving bus in Delhi. However, what we actually need is a total revamp of “patriarchal mindset” towards women in our country.
India is also known as “Bharat Mata” and the disrespect that we are showing towards its “betis” is so paining. Only God knows the exact figures of the rape cases that are actually reported in the police records.
It is so outrageous and difficult to comprehend what India men are trying to establish.
Harsher rape punishments and speedy establishment of “fast-track courts”, exclusively for the rape cases, is need of the hour. Do not forget, the all powerful “chauvinistic male class”, of our country that the time takes its toll. The one who is weak and oppressed today can be standing on other side of the wall tomorrow and be a victim to such mayhem.
It solves no rationale to be a mere bystander on the road when an individual is lying on the road, bleeding, crying for a helping hand. Mind it, the law may engage you later in its course (if you are bothered about the exhausting legal proceedings, afterwards) but the God may penalize you first without you, even knowing.
Ahead of, looking at any girl, walking on the road alone with an immoral intent, try recalling that you have a wife or a sister or a mother at home, waiting unaccompanied(amidst the ever-existing fears of such rapists, present in profusion almost in every nook and corner, of our society) for your return from office !!!!
