Shimla: Four adults were killed in a car accident late on Wednesday and two children, a boy and girl sustained grievous injuries and were admitted to hospital, police said.
The car (Pb 65C 0970) was moving on the Majehwali link road near Koshgar, in Jhakri area of Rampur sub-division in the interiors of Shimla district when the driver lost control and the vehicle veered off the road and fell into a steep valley, police official Sher Singh said.
Those who died in the accident include Sant Ram (35), Anil Kumar (28), Sidhu Ram (45) and the driver Chauhan Singh (38). All are said to be residents of Shah village under Rampur tehsil.
Harmit and Samola, son and daughter of drive Chauhan Singh, aged 4 to 6 years, have survived the fatal accident.
A case has been registered and cause of the accident is being investigated.
