Srinagar: Agitated over limiting the availability of subsidized Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and hike in diesel prices civil Society activists, yesterday held a peaceful protest demonstration here.
Hundreds of protesters and social activists that included traders, gathered under Traders Union Kashmir Front banner marched from city center, Lal Chowk to the Chief Minister’s residence to register their opposition to the unpopular decision.
“The government has become insensitive to the difficult times the people are going through.A definitive policy should be in place for LPG users,” said Ghulam Muhammad Dar, one of the protesters.
Moreover, reports also said that various Civil Society groups are intending to hit the street in protest against imposing subsidy cap on domestic cooking gas cylinders.
