Shimla: For defying court orders, the Himachal Pradesh High Court toady directed police to produce revenue official Tehsildar (Shimla Rural) before the court on Friday.
First court of the High Court consisting of Chief Justice Kurian Joseph and Justice DC Chaudhary passed directions for SHO Sadar Shimla to carry out the orders in response to a petition moved by one Prakash Chand.
Earlier the court had directed the evasive Tehsildar to demarcate a property required for construction of a link road from Bhatmana bus stand to Dharvidhar road in Mashobra block.
With courts direction of seeking the presence of the revenue official before the bench on 9th April being flouted, the court then had directed deputy commissioner Shimla to ensure his presence on Wednesday.
However, as the Tehsildar again failed to appear before the court, the judges passed orders for the police to ensure his presence on 13th April.
