Shimla: Two persons were arrested for murder of one Pyare Lal, in Theog region of Shimla hills, a few hours after the crime was committed.
Police officer of Theog, Baldev Thakur said that the arrested persons were Babu Ram a resident of Nauli village and Pratap a resident of Neri village in Theog.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Pyare Lal had been done to death in a drunken brawl on 1st March, said Thakur.
Babu Ram is said to have invited the neighbouring community to help him out in laying a concrete slab for a house under construction.
After the day work was done, over drinks in the evening, Pyare Lal and Pratap are said to have got into an altercation.
Intervening in the fight, Babu Ram is said to have hit Pyare with a stick on the dead head that proved fatal.
Later the duo disposed of the body by throwing it about 300 meters from the site, said the police officer.
