Shimla : R.P.Singh on Wednesday took over as chairman cum managing director of the public sector Sutlej Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd ((SJVNL) .
A spokesman of the power company said Singh had been holding additional charge of this position since March last year .
SJVNL , is jointly owned by the Centre and Himachal governments and runs the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri project the country’s largest hydro-electric project .
The highly profit making company is building hydro-electric projects in Himachal, Uttarakhand , Nepal among other places .
