Srinagar : Srinagar had its coldest night of the season so far as the mercury today fell to minus 3.3 degrees Celsius, and weatherman said it might slip further in the next few days.
Water froze in taps for the first time this season in this state apital of Jammu & Kashmir and nearby areas . The intense cold spell will continue for the next few days.
Leh in Ladakh was the coldest place in the state on recording a minimum temperature at minus 13.6 degrees Celsius below the freezing point.
In the Kargil town of the same region, the minimum temperature was minus 12.4 degrees .
The north Kashmir ski resort of Gulmarg recorded minus 8.3 degrees and Pahalgam witnessed minus 6.8 degrees today .
