New Delhi : Anna Hazare’s team has dismissed the Lokpal bill as weak and have urged the people to agitate against it .
“We urge the people to come to Jantar Mantar on Dec 11 and tell the government that this kind of betrayal will not take place any more,” said Arvind Kejriwal .
“They say NGOs and companies but have a problem in bringing the prime minister in its ambit.â€
“Neither the peon is under its ambit, nor the prime minister is in its ambit,… who is in its ambit?” he said.
Prashant Bhushan also said said the Lokpal draft bill had no powers .
“A Lokpal which does not have jurisdiction over lower bureaucracy where most of the corruption takes place has no powers ,†Bhushan said .
