Shimla: Vice-chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University, Prof. ADN Bajpai released a book titled “India Tomorrow-The Next Superpower†authored by Dr. Pramod Sharma in presence of many special guests at a simple function here today.
Speaking about the book Sharma said advantage of India being the youngest country of the world gives it scope for emerging as a super power in the global arena.
The caveat being, “the country will have to invest heavily in education, health and employment so as to have effective human resources development,†he said.
A comparative developmental study has been undertaken of India, Japan., America and Russia has been carried out in the book besides a special segment dealing with a comparative developmental study of India and China.
A detailed study has been undertaken of the various parameters and benchmarks which are necessary for India to achieve so as to become a superpower, said the author.
A ten point thrust area program has also been proposed in the book, consisting of Science and Technology, Agriculture of Food processing, Sustainable Economic Growth, Defense, Diplomacy and Internal Security, Human Resource Development, Nationality Identity and Patriotism, Strong and Stable Democracy, Good Governance and Astute Leadership, Infrastructure Development and a Strong Legal System are necessary for the nation to achieve its ambitions for become a superpower said Sharma.
