Jailed Pakistani cricketers Butt and Aamer’s appeal rejected

London : Jailed former Pakistani cricketers Salman Butt and Mohammad Aamer have lost their appeals against their sentences in a spot-fixing scam.

“The pair were not present at the Court of Appeal in London for the proceedings before the Lord Chief Justice and two other judges,” BBC reported

Former captain Butt was jailed for 30 months and fast bowler Aamer received a six-month term.

Another fast bowler Mohammad Asif and cricket agent Mazhar Majeed were also jailed.

They were sentenced over a plot to bowl deliberate no-balls against England.
