Islamabad : Former Pakistani foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has announced his resignation from the membership of the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
“I am leaving the Zardari league,” DawnNews quoted Qureshi as saying at a press conference Monday.
He criticized Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and said the government failed to revive the country’s economy.
Qureshi also urged other lawmakers to resign from the parliament. He said the PPP, led by President Asif Ali Zardari, was losing its popularity in Sindh.
