Tibetan flag hoisted in France

Dharamsala : A town in France has not only raised the Tibetan flag but also adopted a Tibetan county , Gyatsa Dzong .

The flag was hoisted by Mayor Jean-Luc Longour in the town of Le Cannet des Maures in southern France .

A spokesman of the Tibetan government-in-exile said in Dharamsala , this is the 39 th municipality to adopt a Tibetan town in a bid to preserve Tibetan culture and identity . Two films on Tibet were also shown to the public.

Another town in the same region, Vitrolles, has been flying the Tibetan flag since last seven years .
