Shimla :The only road connecting the state capital Shimla to tribal Kinnaur and Spiti in Himachal Pradesh remains blocked due to big rock and mud slides for the second day, Wednesday, officials said.
Traffic remains stranded on the Hindustan Tibet road beyond Kalpa.
In the last few years Kinnaur is experiencing unusually heavy rainfall, this often triggers huge landslides on the national highway.
Restoration work is on and the road could be cleared for traffic by evening,official said.
Foreigners in large numbers visit Kinnaur and Spiti from July to September.
