Shimla :After many days of rain,clouds and fog the sun was shining bright Wednesday morning, much to the relief of the people in Himachal Pradesh, even though towards noon clouds began to gather at some places.
The latest spell has left at least 15 people dead and dozens injured.The rains have also caused heavy damage to property including houses all over the state.
The weather man says the wet weather will ease from Wednesday but rain spells will continue at many places with lesser intensity for a few days in the hill state.
The latest burst in the monsoon since the past ten days or so has thrown normal life out of gear.Several roads have been blocked all over the state due to mud and rock slides.
The Chandigarh-Manali national highway which was blocked at many places since the last couple of days stranding thousands of tourists in the Kullu valley was opened Wednesday.
The Beas,Sutlej and their tributaries are in spate in the lower hills due to heavy rains in the last few days.
The state capital was cool with the minimum temperature at 15 C Wednesday,several degrees below normal.
