Shimla : Set for state assembly elections in the later half of next year, the Himachal Pradesh state election commission could soon have a new boss here.
Sources say the name of Narinder Chauhan,principal secretary home has been finalised by the election commission for the post of chief electoral officer(CEO) based in Shimla.
The current EC, CEO Manoj Kumar would be going on deputation to the government of India,sources say.
Chauhan a 1984 batch IAS officer had been appointed to the key position of principal secretary home barely four months ago.
It remains to be seen though if Chauhan takes up the new assignment.
