Shimla: Upping the ante against the BJP government, congress on Tuesday demanded prosecution sanction against health minister Rajeev Bindal over case of allegedly making irregular recruitment in Solan municipal council.
On the opening day of the monsoon session, the opposition members staged a protest outside the Vidhan Sabha.

The case is said to pertain to recruitment made to the Solan civic bodies in the late 1990s in which investigations stand completed but prosecution sanction is awaited.
Speaking about the congress Padyatra said that the protest had been launched from Solan as most benami land deals, highest number of private universities and permission under section 118 for selling land had been granted in the district.
The government has been protecting the land mafia and our protest march is about highlighting the rampant corruption, he said.
