Shimla: Cement major Associated Cements Company (ACC) on Monday handed chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal a draft of Rs 1 crore for laying a synthetic track in Hamirpur.
Director of the ACC plant in Himachal, Rakesh Sinha handed the draft to the chief minister. The cement company has earlier already paid Rs 1.25 crore for laying of the modern track.
Thanking the cement company Dhumal said that cement companies had volunteered to finance the synthetic track laying in Hamirpur and Dharamshala.
World class sports infrastructural facilities would be available to the sports persons at these centers.
The synthetic track was likely to cost over Rs 6 crore and ACC had so far provided Rs 2.25 crore for the project, he said.
