Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC), a state sector enterprise, reported a profit of Rs 2.45 crore in 2010-11 at its board meeting held today with chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in the chair.
The board of directors also gave formal approval for grant of 8.33 percent bonus to the employees of the Corporation for the year 2010-11.
The bonus has already been given released to the employees and has benefitted 650 employees of the corporation.
The board also formally approved grant of Dearness Allowance to the corporation employees from 1st January, 2011 that had already given to them.
Speaking at the board meeting Dhumal asked the employees of HPTDC to raise the quality of services in their units so as to attract repeat customers.
HPTDC could also consider giving of incentives to those doing good work and disincentives to those who do not come to the expectations of services expected from them, he said.
Manisha Nanda, Principal Secretary, Tourism brief the board about the steps taken to improve functioning of the corporation.
Vineet Kumar, Managing Director, HPTDC, Rajwant Sandhu, Chief Secretary, Ajay Mittal, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Arun Sharma, Director Tourism, Official and Non Official Members of the Board were present at the meeting.
