The election department Thursday launched an intensive campaign for registering all those who have so far not been registered as voters anywhere in Himachal Pradesh.
The department is also running a campaign to shoot or collect photographs of those registered voters who have not been issued photo identity cards.
“This campaign will continue for the next three months. All those wanting to register are requested to apply on form-6 with two passport size photographs with the concerned district electoral officer and electoral registeration officer,†Manoj Kumar, state chief electoral officer said Thursday.
“Names of ineligible voters, those who have shifted or of the deceased can also be removed,†he said.
A request for enrolment as voters can also be made on phone by calling the election department’s toll free no 1965.
