Congress leader Anita Verma from Hamirpur has been appointed president of the All-India Mahila Congress Tuesday by the party high command.
This comes only two months after Asha Kumari of Chamba was made the joint secretary of the AICC.
Verma is seen as close to union minister Virbhadra Singh camp of the Congress.She also hails from the BJP chief minister P.K.Dhumal’s home district Hamirpur.
