Shimla: Much to the discomfort of some legislators, the congress legislator party (CLP) late on Sunday formed a five member committee to frame a charge sheet against the Prem Kumar Dhumal government that the opposition intends to submit to the President of India.
Party sources disclosed that the CLP had constituted a five member committee for framing a charge sheet which would be headed by senior member GS Bali and includes Kuldeep Pathania, Harshwardhan Chauhan, Sukwinder Singh Sukku and Mukesh Agnihotri as its members.
The committee has been given a two months time to prepare the report, the source said.
When contacted Bali said that party incharge for the state, Virendra Singh announced constitution of the committee in presence of other party legislators.
The charge sheet will leave no scope for confrontation and contradiction as all acts of omission and commission to be tabulated by the committee are going to document based and no baseless charges would be incorporated, said Bali.
The process would only start after a formal meeting of the committee; public and party workers at the district and block level would be asked to point out the various acts of omission and commission of the Dhumal government since it took office, he said.
Sources revealed that some members were reluctant to be part of the committee but the final word of party incharge Virendra Singh’s that prevailed.
Singh on Sunday had let media persons know that congress would bring out a charge sheet against the BJP government that would be submitted to the President of India. The party would seek a seek a CBI inquiry into the charges, he had stated.
