Shimla: Three persons died and 13 other were injured in two separate accidents in Shimla hills. Two persons were killed and 13 others injured when a Tata Sumo mass carrier met with an accident near Nerwa in Chopal region of Shimla district, a police spokesman said.
The injured persons have been shifted to the state hospital at IGMC in the capital, he added. The vehicle had a Uttrakhand number plate (UA 07C 9473).
In an another accident that took place on link road near Jhakri in Satluj valley, Jeet Ram, driver of a taxi (HP 01A 2214), died on the spot where the accident took place.
The accident is believed to have been caused because of negligence on the part of the driver, the police spokesman said.
