Shimla: Launching a blistering attack on the Dhumal led BJP government in Himachal Pradesh, the union minister Virbhadra Singh today accused the government of allowing dubious and proxy land deals in the hill state.
“Land, often large tracts have been sold to outsiders and non agriculturists by violating several rules including forest acts,†said Singh.
“I am surprised how permission has been given to a private builder from Delhi to build a huge apartment colony in a green area of Shimla near Khalini,†said Singh.
Attacking his arch rival P.K.Dhumal, Singh said, “Himachal is for sale, anyone who wants to buy land in Himachal can contact Dhumal in Jallandhar,Hamirpur or Shimla.â€
“We have gathered details of all proxy and illegal land deals in the last three years and these will be reviewed if the Congress returns to power,†the union minitser said.
Singh criticised the government of neglecting the upkeep of the roads in the state, saying, “All roads including national highways are in shambles. I challenge Dhumal to name one road which is in good condition.â€
