Shimla: Idea Cellular today flagged off its 3 G services in the state capital Shimla and in the industial town of Baddi,company officials said.
The facility will be available to customers on a wide variety of handsets and other devices.
Anish Roy,COO Idea Himachal Pradesh said, “Idea subscribers in Shimla and Baddi can now avail high-end data services such as video conferencing,Idea mall application store,mobile TV,video on demand and high speed internet browsing with ease.â€
To anchor the occasion Idea also unveiled a new 3G logo today.The new branding will be implemented across India.
“Our 3 G services will be available in 200 towns of India by mid April,progressively growing at the rate of ten towns per day to cover 750 towns by mid 2011 and 4000 town by the end of next year,†said Lakshminarayana, COO National Enterprise Business, Idea Cellular.
