Shimla: Dipping temperatures and cold winds blowing had brought the weatherman out to forewarn about rain and snow for the weekend.
Meteorological director RK Lakhanpal said that a western disturbance was likely to affect Himachal Pradesh between 14 and 15 January with light to moderate rain forecast for the lower hills and snowfall in the higher hills.
Snowfall is likely to occur at the tourist places of Narkanda, Manali, Rohtang Pass, and Kufri besides the higher reaches of the state, said Lakhanpal.
At the same time, a warning has been sounded that heavy rain and snowfall was likely to occur at isolated places on 14 and 15 January.
