The new system would help in strengthening tourism in the state. Eco-friendly tower facilities would help to expand internet, WIFI, broadband, 3G and 4G services down to village level and the government would look into all aspects and consider it for implementation, said the chief minister.
The Erricson World team led by vice president commercial, Tony Ficrentincs, systems manager Magnus Fagerberg and Head-Chennai sales Kapil Mittal, in their presentation talked about the advantages of the new system over the prevailing towers that would help to de-congest many hill tops and residential areas.
