Shimla: Carrying forward its observation of ‘INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF BIODIVERSITY’ Ashadeep renown civil rights grup of state today conducted 4th tree plantation of the month.
According to President of Ashadeep Sushil Tanwar about 250 Deodars saplings were planted in the premises of “Indian Institute Of Advanced Studiesâ€.
Dr.Peter Ronald deSouza, director of the institute, inaugurated the programme. Lauding the efforts of Ashadeep in the area of environment preservation, he emphasized the need to involve more and more people in this campaign to increase the green cover.
Students from D.A.V. Sr.Sce.School New shimla along with volunteers of Ashadeep and fellows from the institute took part in the plantation. For Rita from Nepal , Radhika, Disha Rajta , Alisha,Gagan, Alaksh Chauhan and majority of others from class 8 th to 12 th students ,it was first ever direct contact with the mother nature.
They took the pledge to spread the message of “ SAVE BIODIVERSITY †through “Tree Plantations†and awareness initiatives.
Hostel wardens Ms Sushila Kainthla and Ms manjeet Bhalla took 50 Deodar saplings to plant in their school premises assuring their full protection and care.Sushil Tanwar ,president Ashadeep,informed that this year .
