Shimla: Speeding up the process of adjudicating consumer complaints, the HP State Consumer Commission and the district forums have disposed of 165 applications within a month of them be put before the consumer forums.
Registrar HP State Consumer Forum disclosed that of the 88 fresh cases filed from 15 June, 2010 onwards as many as 72 had been decided.
In the various district forums 98 consumer complaints were registered during the period and as many as 93 of them have been settled, he added.
The backlog pending with the state consumer forum was 761 cases and before the district forums it was 2936 cases, the registrar stated.
