Chamba: Seven persons died on the spot today morning while 10 others were injured who have been admitted in Chamba hospital.
Seven persons were killed while 10 others injured when a ‘Pick Up Mahindra Van’ veered off the road and plunged into a 60 feet deep gorge at Karain near Chamba today.
The ill fated vehicle was on its way from Bani Mata in tribal Sub Division of Bharmour to Kharian of Tehsil Nurpur in Kangra district. The accident took place at around 11 AM.
Smt. Urmila Singh, Governor and Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister expressed grief over the accident. They conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and wished speedy recovery of the injured.
The Chief Minister has directed the district administration to provide immediate relief to the kin of those killed in the accident and to the injured
